Customer Feedback: Man outdoors with computer

I just received my Web Warrior computer case. I can't imagine how you could get it to me by ground UPS only three days after I ordered it in a custom size. The inner jacket is a perfect fit. The workmanship on this case is extraordinary. You have another satisfied customer. -- Bill

Thank you so much for repairing the zippers on my book bag. I've had the bag for about 13 years now, and I used it on a daily basis for about 6 of those years. I recently sent the bag in to have the zippers repaired. The service far exceeded my expectations. Not only were the zippers replaced, the leather on each handle was replaced, and the shoulder strap was replaced. The bag is just like new again, and I'm sure it will last another 13 years. This is a great bag! -- Scott

This is just to thank the Uphill Company for the great service which I received through the customer service department. The service was prompt and greatly appreciated. I sent in a bag for repair and it was, to my surprise, replaced within two weeks. I would never hesitate to recommend Uphill to any friend and will, in the future, seek out your products. -- Noelle

Until I had purchased this pack, I had never heard of your company. Now I have sworn never to buy any other company's product if you offer comparable equipment. Even if your product costs a bit more wouldn't matter to me, because of the incredible service Uphill has provided for me. I have told everyone about it and will continue to spread the word. -- Chris, NC

I just wanted to thank you for the excellent service I was given when I gave you my bag for repairs last December. I am delighted for two reasons. In the first place, I'm amazed and pleased that my bag has lasted for 10 years of heavy use and still is in good condition and still looks good. Secondly, I'm amazed that your customer service representative accepted my bag to be repaired cheerfully and without giving me any hassle at all. You even delivered my repaired bag to my workplace free of charge, which was very convenient for me and which I greatly appreciate. In short, I am very impressed and very pleased with your products and service. As a customer I rarely have been treated so well by any company. Thanks again. --Jim, Salt Lake City, UT

I ordered a H2O Fanny Pack this morning. Concerned that I wouldn't get it before I left for my trip to the Grand Canyon, I called your toll free customer service number. J.R. took excellent care of me. He went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that I'd get my pack on time. I'm very impressed with your service and will be sure to do business with Uphill again. --Mary Ann, Louisville, KY

I would like to first congratulate you on the fine products that you manufacture. I purchased a bag at the University of Arizona in 1994. this bag has been with me every minute of my life since then. It took me through my college years. It has been all over the world with me as a carry on piece of baggage. Places such as Egypt, Turkey, Greece, and all over Western Europe. In 1998 I became a special Agent with the United States Treasury Department. I was given ALL kinds of bags ot use by my agency, but I could not part with your bag, it is a part of me. --Chris, New York City, NY

Although my bag has not been on any adventures in the Orient or on any missions with the Secret Service, the poor thing hasn't had an easy life. I first got it just to see me through the end of college. I guess that did include kind of an adventure since it was lugged all over the place with me through study abroad in Mexico. However, I think that its greatest feat is that it has weathered seven more years as I have hauled it with me every day, jammed full of papers and books, back and forth to where I teach in an inner-city middle school. The kids know that I can be patient with many things, but messing with my bag isn't one of them. In fact, I'm kind of at a loss without it. You make an impressive product, and should I ever finally do it in, its successor will also be an Uphill bag. --Heather, Ogden, UT

I bought my first Uphill backpack while at Junior College 15 years ago. I crammed that pack with engineering books every day for two years. After moving on, I washed the pack and then gave it to my brother. He abused that pack for another two years with engineering books, washed it, and gave it to my sister. She used it for two years of college, washed it, and gave it to her sister-in-law. Last I hear it is still going strong. After I gave away my backpack, I bought an Uphill briefcase. That case lasted through my Bachelor's Degree and through my doctoral program. It held up great, looked great, and it performed great. A zipper on the case finally failed. I didn't want a new bag; I was used to my old friend. I sent the bag to Customer Service. Although I only wanted a new zipper (and I would have been willing to pay for that), the folks at Uphill pulled out a new briefcase for me to have. Amazing! My briefcase had been outdated for some time, but they happened to have one available. I'm an engineer, and quite simply, the folks at Uphill get it right. They offer a great looking product that performs and they sell it for a reasonable price. Then they provide impeccable customer service. You can't ask for more than that. I am a LOYAL customer and recommend Uphill to anybody that might be looking for a new bag. --Brian

The computer backpack that I ordered is really comfortable and it does not look like I have a suitcase on my back. The fit of the backpack is similar to hiking backpacks... I received the order within 2 days of placing the order by priority mail. I highly recommend the computer backpack that Uphill offers. --Anonymous

I came online to see what your new shoulder bags look like and how much they are. I want to buy something special for myself, as it was my 51st birthday the day before yesterday. I want you to know that I began college (after my children were all older) in 1992. I went to the Northern Michigan University Bookstore in Marquette and bought a dark green Uphill Down USA bag for my school bag. It turned into my tote and all-inclusive purse since then. My daughter just came home for a week from Pennsylvania last week and she said, "My goodness, are you still using that green bag? You've had that forever!" I don't know what fabric it's made out of, but I want to tell you that it's been washed a thousand times, dropped on floors in public buildings and airports, drug through the house by grandchildren, and filled with sometimes 30 lbs of just stuff. There isn't an indication of wear on the fabric, except for the Uphill Down USA tag sewn into the shoulder strap on the front of the bag. I remember looking at the bags before I bought this one, and I debated between this one and a bright, royal blue one. Here it is, over 14 years later, and I came looking for the royal blue bag. This one is part of my life now and has served me better than any other thing I've ever purchased. I just wanted you to know. Thanks very much. A very satisfied customer... --Theresa, Marquette, MI

I received an Uphill shoulder bag as part of an acacemic program in 1996. Since then, it has been a near constant companion, having traveled with me to 5 continents (everywhere but Australia and Antarctica) and numerous countries. It's small enough that I can pack it inside a larger ruck for use as a day-pack later on, and big enough that I've sometimes lived out of it for 3-4 days at a time. It saw combat experience with me in Afghanistan. The thing still looks brand new. Later today I'm going to call for my first maintenance question in a decade--a very minor fix. Later, I bought a computer backpack that saw all manner of abuse through three years of law school--lugging not only my computer but 30+ pounds of law textbooks for over three years. It, too, looks brand new, and has never caused me a bit of trouble. I have been tremendously impressed with the quality of uphill gear. This week, I bought myself a third Uphill bag for my birthday--an Ascent--it just arrived today and will be getting put through its paces in the Andes on Tuesday. I'm thrilled with it. I just can't say enough about the durability and functionality of the bags I've owned. Thanks a lot, Uphill! --G.R., Washington D.C.
